Canadian Government - Gr. 5

Open up the above link.  Watch the following videos -
1. The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms
Answer the questions on the sheet handed out in class.
2. Rights and Responsibilities
Learn about the rights guaranteed to you under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Human Rights Code as well as the responsibilities you have as a citizen living in Canada.

1. I think that the three most important rights are:
a) the right of freedom of speech
b) the right to move "in, out and around"
c) the right to use your own language
2. I think that living in Canada would be very different if Canadians did not have rights. I think that it would not be very good if it was like this because there would probably be a lot of racism, people getting arrested for no reason, and altogether violence. I think that we are very lucky to live in a country that has rights.
