I chose "Bridge over troubled water" by Tesanne Chin. The "Big Idea" was that this person will be your friend no matter what. She (or he) will never leave your side, and will help you through thick and thin.

BTW, the lyrics are:
"When you're weary, feeling small,
When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all;
I'm on your side. When times get rough
And friends just can't be found,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

When you're down and out,
When you're on the street,
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you.
I'll take your part.
When darkness comes
And pain is all around,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

Sail on silvergirl,
Sail on by.
Your time has come to shine.
All your dreams are on their way.
See how they shine.
If you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind."
I had to look them up, because I didn't know what she was saying. 0_o :P

Part2

I tink this because she says "I am on your side. When times get rough and friends can't be found, like a bridge over troubled water, i will lay me down." She also says "When evening falls so hard I will comfort you." I also think this is the right way that friends should be, and this is a good thing to sing about.

I (like Mackenzie) think that 'Bridge over Troubles Water' by Tessanne Chin is better.
The Big Idea of this song is that when you are feeling down, there will be a friend that will be there for you, a shoulder to cry on. No matter what you are going through, He/She will always help you through it. This is what a true friend should be like, not somebody who will turn there back on you. Trust me...I have had 'Friends' like that...

When this song started, I did not like it that much, and was going to choose 'Angel,' by Jacquie Lee, but after about 20 seconds of the song, It started to get really good.

The Lyrics to the song are:

"When you're weary, feeling small,
When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all;
I'm on your side. When times get rough
And friends just can't be found,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

When you're down and out,
When you're on the street,
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you.
I'll take your part.
When darkness comes
And pain is all around,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

Sail on silvergirl,
Sail on by.
Your time has come to shine.
All your dreams are on their way.
See how they shine.
If you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind."

I chose 'Bridge Over Troubled Water'. The "Big Idea", was that no matter what happens, someone will be your friend, and help you when your hurt, or sad, or mad, or when anything bad happens to you, "I'll" be there for you, like, the person is the troubled water, that is shaking and unstable, and needs help, and that the friend is the bridge, that is watching over the troubled water, and will be there for the 'water' when it is crashing on the shore, and can't control itself. ( Like Mackenzie, I had to look up the lyrics to figure out what she was saying!:D)

Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.

WAIT! I FORGOT TO EXPLAIN 0.o

I think the song means this because of these certain lyrics:

""When you're weary, feeling small,
When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all;
I'm on your side. When times get rough"

In this small part of the song, it is saying that whenever you are feeling bad about yourself, or you are feeling sad or small, she will always be there to dry the tears out, and help you through it.

I prefer the first song "Bridge Over Troubled Water" because it is a reassuring song. I think the BIG IDEA of it is, if you are struggling and need someone to help you out, that the person will be ready to step in. The song said, “I'm on your side. When times get rough. And friends just can't be found. Like a bridge over troubled water. I will lay me down. Like a bridge over troubled water. I will lay me down.” That means that a person will be there with you, to help you, especially when times are difficult. They will be “like a bridge over troubled water.” They will make sure you get over that hard time, over the troubled water. The song is saying that that special friend will be right by your side, there every step of the way. You are not alone.

I chose Angel because... er.... It's just this kind of dramatic-ness that makes me like it more. I also couldn't hear anything in "Bridge over troubled water" because my headphones were glitchy, but "Arms of the angel" I memorized at my old school, so I was more familiar and I knew what Jacquie Lee was saying. I'ts kinda unfair since it wasn't Tesanne's fault that my headphones wren't working, sooo.... oh well. The lyrics are nice and all that but... I just don't know how to explain it.

I like 'Bridge over Troubled Water' by Tessanne Chin more because I think it the message is really powerful. I think the Big Idea is that if you are feeling upset, they will be there for you. (I'll also be there for all of you guys, because you are awesome friends, and I know you'd do the same for me.)

I would post the lyrics, but they were posted enough times...

who is queenspiritfoot?

In the lyric fragment "Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down" means that when you need help, she will stop what she is doing and help you.

(Continued) I think the "Big Idea" is how there's this person who's really tired and tries to do things but can't or something, ("Spend all your time waiting for that second chance... For a break that would make it okay") and they feel sad and depressed and stuff at the end of the day, and they really want to be happy again and have some peace. Then this person comes along and helps them when they really need it. ("In the arms of the angel,
Fly away from here,
From this dark, cold hotel room,
And the endlessness that you fear.") I think the "angel" is the friend, and they just really really help whoever the song's about. ("You're in the arms of the angel, may you find some comfort here.") Then the next few parts of the song are about the sadness before the friend. After that, it's the chorus again. So to make a long story short, therewasafriendwhohelpedsomeonethatneededhelpingandtheylivedhappilyeveraftertheend.

I chose "Bridge over troubled water". The song means that you can count on them because they will always be there for you when you need them, like if you need help with a project, the teacher or a student will help you. It is kind of the same thing when she said “If you need a friend, I'm sailing right behind you”, because it is helping someone (Well, keeping company. Same type of thing.

I choose the song Angel, because everyone choose the other one.
The “Big Idea” is that if you feel down and not good enough, there will always be hope and try to relax and forget about it.
These quotes “I need some distraction oh beautiful release. Memories seep from my veins.",”Let me be empty and weightless and maybe. I'll find some peace tonight!” and “fly away from here from this dark cold hotel room.” says that to relax and forget about it. Life is too short, so you don’t want to be stressed. That will make your life less happy and more shorter

P.S Everyone choose the other song except pie! :3
