The Pope is trying to say that lent is a extremely important time of year. Also, the Pope says you should fast, give alms, and pray during lent to commit to living the gospel. I think the Pope is completely right and we should care about lent very much.

I think that the Pope is trying to say that Lent is a very important part of our Religous year as Christians. Also he mentions that fasting and omsgiving is something that we should also do and incourage others to do as well. Also there is Ash Wednesday is also very important in our religion.

I think his message was that Lent is more about connecting with God than giving something up. He also mentions that having a Christian life means you're in a "constant state of renewal." He also explains that meaningful prayer is very important especially during Lent as well as "renewing the commitments of baptism." And furthermore to prepare for Jesus' arrival

I think that the Pope is trying to say that Lent is more than just giving something up. It is about giving something up to connect more with God. In my opinion, I think the Pope is right and we have to start thinking more of Lent.

I think that the priest is saying that lent is very important to christians. I also think he says that when you are fasting ou should not go over the top and starve. I think he also means that when we are in lent we have to rely on god to help us.

I think the Pope's message was that lent is a very religous time of year, for it is the preparing for Jesus to resurect. he noted that Ash Wednesday marks the begining of Lent, and also the preperation of Easter. he also said that we should do good deeds, make many prayers, and review the commitments of baptism during this time, to prepare yourself for Jesus.

I think that the Popes message to us is that Lent isn't just a time for the things that are diccused in churches, but also a time to enhance our connection with god, and that we should not only give alms and fast, but we should also continue to do what we do during the normal church season except in a better and more intense fashion.

During the Popes speech, all the things (in my opinion) are completely correct and should be noted every day.

His message is that people should pay more attention to god and jesus than just "yay the easter bunny!" we should be fasting and giving alms and being humble not hey in giving alms look im doing it! you should do it in secret and you should pray over this season and it is a time to think about jesus not candy or "you should pity me im fasting!"

What the Pope is trying to get across is that lent should be taken seriously and that you shouldn't be fasting, giving alms and praying because people are making you, but because it makes you closer to god. I think that the pope is right and we should treat lent with respect.

The Pope is telling us that Lent is very important. It is important to fast, give alms and pray during lent not just because people tell us to and everybody else does it but it also makes us closer to God. Lent is more than just giving up your favourite food, or not playing video games or something like that. It has a much deeper meaning. Lent marks 40 days Jesus spent in the desert, fasting. And like the priest said at our Ash Wednesday Mass, we shouldn't tell everyone what we're doing for lent like, if you gave a homeless person a quarter you shouldn't go "HEY EVERYBODY! I JUST GAVE THIS HOMELESS PERSON A QUARTER! AREN'T I SO AMAZING AND GENEROUS!" or if you gave up bacon you shouldn't mope around telling everyone. It's basically telling everyone to pity and admire you. So you should participate in Lent, but in secret.

I think that the pope's message is that during lent we should fast, give alms and pray a lot and very intensely. This is because he thinks that lent is a super important time of year. He also says that when we pray we should do extremely intensely. This is the pope's message and I believe that it is very true.
