The five things are Plot, Character, Conflict, Theme, and Setting.

I agree with these five things you need to have in a successful story because you need to paint a picture in the audiences mind and these are all of the things you need to paint a picture in yuor audiences mind.

My favourite opening sentence is from "A Wrinkle in Time" and it is "It was a dark and stormy night".

I like this opening sentence because it is very descriptive by telling you it was dark and stormy and not bright and sunny.

My opening sentence that I came up with was "It was an early Monday Morning, before the sun even rose"

I agree because you really need a plot because a plot is what happens in the story. No plot, no story. Then of course you need characters. If there were no characters then there wouldn't be much to write about. You would probably only be able to write things like, It was very stormy that night. Also, nobody would say it because they would be a character.Conflict helps keep intrest because in the real world we have conflicts, like yelling, or police officers running after a crimanal. So you're book will already be interesting and a little bit more realistic. Then there is the theme the whole point. The theme is like the plot, you need it or you don't have a story the theme is what the storys about. Magic, adventure, non-fiction, fiction, and many more. Then there is the setting. The setting is where the story takes place. Like in a jungle, a winter forest, a castle... Wherever the place it's a setting it could even be where you are right now.

My favourite opening sentence is from the book "A Wrinkle in Time". It gose like this "It was a dark and stormy night." I like this opening sentence because it really makes you think of those dark stormy night clouds swirling through the air. It's dark and cold and wet, it is defenitly a day you want to go outside.

My opening sentence is, It was a stormy night not one you would want to go out on, suddenly I saw a cat fly past my window, A TWISTER...
