Hi Sarah,
I just wanted to say thanks for sharing all your amazing connections with us today. I appreciated all your L'arche attire. The medallion and candle were very nice. The students enjoyed your little presentation.

L'arche is a community dedicated to help mentally or/and physicality disabled people. It gives those people other people like them to be with. L'arche is located in 35 different countries.
Jean Vainer is the owner of the L'arche community. Currently he is 85 years old.

L'arche ties into catholic values and belief because The owner of L'arche (Jean Vainer) thought that everyone including disabled people could be educated and treated nicely. It also means that you should value disabled people in your community the same you would with anyone else.

1. L'arche is a community of people with disabilities that spend their time with their friends in L'arche to build a big community. It's like how he said the strong and the weak come together and also the rich and the poor come together to build a community.

2. Jean Vainer is the son of one of the Governor Generals of Canada, and the owner of the L'arche communities.

3. L'arche ties into catholic values and beliefs, because Jean Vainer thought of the people who had disabilities, probably felt bad for them, and took care of them.

1. L'Arche is a huge community for people with learning disabilities. It is spread around the world. It is on all the continents and are currently available in 35 countries. It lets people with learning disabilities come together and do jobs like making things. They learn together and form relations and build friendships through L'Arche.
2. Jean Vanier is the founder and current leader of L'Arche. He is a catholic philosopher, theologian, and humanitarian. He was born in Switzerland and started L'Arche in France.
3.It ties into catholic beliefs because the founder, Jean Vanier is a catholic, as well as because they treat disabled people fairly even though they have disabilities and are less able to do things than other people

1. What is L'Arche?
L’Arche is a place where people who do and do not have disabilities can live in a community together. Friendships are created and the the value of every person is celebrated. L’Arche is trying to make a world where everyone can belong and be respected. There are many activities for the people to be a part of.

2. Who is Jean Vanier?
Jean Vanier is the founder of the L’Arche communities. He created the communities because he did not like the conditions for people with disabilities in institutions. Jean Vanier wanted a place where everyone could belong and contribute to.

3. How does L'arche tie into Catholic values and beliefs?
In our faith, we are taught to respect and appreciate everyone, with and without disabilities. Jean Vanier saw that not everyone was treating each other kindly, so he made a place to make sure everyone could be valued and cherished. Since L’Arche communities are for anyone, they do not discriminate or single out those with disabilities.

1. What is L'larche?

L'Arche is a place where people with diabilities can have a place where they belong, in a comunity with big-hearted people that keep them company and take care of them. L'Arche tries to find something special about each person, just like the person with down-syndrome in the video is a good artist.

2. Who is Jean Vanier?

Jean Vanier is the leader and founder of L'Arche. He wanted a place where anyone could feel accepted and loved, disabilities or not, making sure they weren't discriminated.

3. How does L'arche tie into Catholic values and beliefs?

It ties in to Catholic values because we are suppossed to accept those from who they are on the inside, not who they are on the outside. L'Arche is making sure those with disabilities are treated the same way as anyone else would be treated.

2. Who is Jean Vanier?
Jean Vanier is the Founder of L'arche. He is currently 85 years old. He is also a big name, I guess, through out the world.

3. How does L'arche tie into Catholic values and beliefs?

L'arche ties into Catholic Values and beliefs by believing that everyone is equal and not being discriminating just because someone thinks, acts, or behaves differently.
