Explorers - Gr. 6

Over the course of the next week, we will be learning about issues that our European Explorers encountered and the inventions that solved them (for example, the compass helped early travellers figure out which direction they were moving in, instead of sailing blindly). After watching the videos below you are to find an invention (that we have not yet learned about) that helped the explorers with problems that they experienced. Create a post that explains the invention and the problem that it solved. You may even want to include a link for us to see.

An early invention that was used by Explorers is anemometer. The anemometer was used for mesuring the speed of wind to know whether or not that it was safe to sail. The first anemometer was invented in 1450 by the Italian architect Leon Battista Alberti
