Linus’ message about Christmas is that Christmas is about the birth of Jesus Christ, what happened, like the angels and the Three Kings, and Christmas is not all about the gifts, Santa, and the Christmas decorations, candy canes and such. “And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field , keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo , the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold , I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying , 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” He read this from the Bible reading, Luke 2:8.

Linus’ Message is that Christmas is not about presents, Santa, or big parties. Christmas is about “the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.” That baby is Jesus Christ. Jesus is the reason that we celebrate Christmas, because He is our saviour, and on the day that he was born, “there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God...”. Some people think that Christmas is just a bunch of presents under a tree, but it’s so much more than that. Without Jesus….without Jesus...I DON’T KNOW WHERE WOULD BE! Linus has got the right idea about Christmas. “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”

That is all.

Thank you, thank you very much.

I think his message is that Christmas is about the birth of Jesus. “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold , I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes , lying in a manger.”That is what Christmas is about. Not about Santa putting a bunch of presents under a tree.

I Think Linus’s message to us all is to not forget what Christmas is all about. In the show Charlie Brown buys a not so pretty Christmas tree and when he shows it to everybody they get mad because it is not a nice tree. But Linus made everyone think else, that Christmas is not about that. I agree with Linus. Even though receiving gifts on Christmas is nice, that is not what it is about. Christmas is really about “the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.” This is an important message because without Jesus we would not have all the terrific things in life that would make the Christmas that we have! So without the true I meaning of Christmas… there would not even be Christmas in the first place! I have seen that part of the show before but I have never thought about it this much before… It’s so much more important then we all think.

I think that Linus’s message is that Christmas is not about having the best Christmas tree or Christmas gifts or Christmas decorations, but that Christmas is really about how Jesus was born and raised, and how that makes Christmas special, instead of how gifts and fancy ornaments make it special.
“And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.” Jesus wasn’t wrapped in silk lying in a palace, he was in a manger with animals wearing simple cloth. Even if we don’t have amazing decorations and gourmet Christmas cookies, that doesn’t mean that Christmas isn’t important.
“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”

What Linus is saying is that Christmas is all about waiting for the Lord, Jesus, the savior of the world. “For unto you is born in the City of David, a savior, tis Christ the Lord.” We are waiting for Jesus to forgive our sins and give us his teachings. For he will die for us and save our sins, giving us a way to heaven. He is the king, and the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Christmas is not about the perfect presents, or the perfect tree, or about everything having to be perfect. Charlie Brown may have gotten a small tree, but that doesn’t mean that it’s going to ruin Christmas. After all, the tree was beautiful after they fixed the tree and solved their problems. And Linus saved the performance of whatever they were doing, by giving a reading about the birth of Jesus by MEMORY. So the whole point is pretty much that Christmas is about waiting for Christ, and the birth of the savior.

Linus said in his meaning of Christmas that there were shepherds watching sheep, and they saw an angel come down from heaven. They got scared, but the angel said “Fear not, from I bring you kindness and great joy to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a savior.” The angel said there would be baby Jesus wrapped in cloth inside a manger and a barn. That is what happened on Christmas, and it’s not about Santa.

My opinion of Linus’s message, about the true meaning of Christmas is that, Christmas isn’t about the presents or Santa, it’s about the birth of Jesus.“For unto you, is born this day in the city of David, a savior, which is Christ the Lord.” Christmas can also be the whole event, with the appearance of the angel, and the three kings visiting the stable. There is also the words the angel had said, “and this shall be a sign on to you, you shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.” In short, Christmas is about the birth of “ a savior, which is Christ the Lord.”

Linus’ message is that Christmas isn't about all the gifts, or candy, it's about celebrating Jesus’ birth, and giving to others. A few quotes that support my answer are “They were so afraid, but the angel of the Lord said unto them, ‘Fear not, for behold a tidings of great joy, which should be to all people, for unto is born this day in the city of David, a savior, who is Christ the Lord, and this should be a sign unto you, you shall find him lying in a manger’, and suddenly there was with the angel, a multitude of heavenly ost, pray from God, and sang, ‘Glory to god in the highest, and on Earth’s peace to good will towards men’”. -Lucas

Linus’ True meaning of christmas
Linus's message about the true meaning of Christmas is that Christmas is not about the presents, the parties, or the trees, but about celebrating and remembering the birth of “A savior, tis Christ the Lord.” Jesus shall lie in our hearts, and we shall not forget him, or forget his coming into the world, for “Thee shall find “the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.” Linus is basically saying that when we are all rushing around in Christmas, we should stop and remember the true meaning, Jesus Christ.

Linus’ message about the true meaning of Christmas is this: Christmas is not all about getting presents or candy or chocolate, it’s about the birth of Jesus Christ our savior, who died for us and opened up the gates of Heaven. I definitely agree with Linus’ message; it is very important to all of us.

The true meaning of Christmas to Linus

To Linus, Christmas is not all about presents under the tree, candy canes, and Santa. To him, it is all about the birth of Jesus and the three kings, Mary, and Angel Gabriel. He got the reading from Luke 2:8-14.

”There were some shepherds in that part of the country who were spending the night in the fields, taking care of their flocks. An angel of the the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone over them. They were terribly afraid, but the angel said to them,“Don’t be afraid! I am here with good news for you, which will bring great joy to all the people. This very day in David’s town your Savior was born - Christ the Lord! And this is what will prove it to you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great army of heaven’s angels appeared with the angel, singing praises to God:’Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom he is pleased’.”

What is Linus's message about the true meaning of Christmas?
Linus’s message about the true meaning of Christmas is that Christmas is about Jesus’s birthday, not Santa Claus or presents. “And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field , keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. This is the true meaning of Christmas the true meaning isn't oh I got this gift and oh Santa and everything It is about Christ the savior that is coming to give us peace. I think that is the true meaning of Christmas, all that matters is Jesus, The Lord.

I feel that Linus’s message about the true meaning of Christmas means, well basically that. He is talking about the true meaning of Christmas, which means it’s not all about the presents, and things you receive; “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” Christ the Saviour is born! God has sent him to save us from sin so we can have eternal life in heaven! It is worth celebrating for!

I know the gifts and treats are nice to give and receive, but us humans, turn Christmas into something its not! Now, Christmas is all commercialized. As soon as Halloween is over, you see Christmas things coming out in stores, and ads for things to buy for Christmas! That seems a bit crazy to me!

The other day I asked my brother is he was excited for Christmas. He said “Yes! I am so excited to get presents from Santa!” I know he is young, but I thought to myself, “That’s all some people think Christmas is all about, and really, it’s sad.”
