I think the quote "You can't really blend in when you were born to stand out" means that when you were born different than most kids you can't really blend in with them and you can't really just be a normal kid, You were born to be different!

When I watched the video clip, I felt sorry for the boy (Augie). I was wondering what was different with him that made other kids stare.
"You can't really blend in when you were born to stand out." That quote seems to say that, no matter how hard you try to blend in, you just can’t because apparently “you were born to stand out.” It means that you were never meant to just be a normal kid - you were meant to be different and that you were meant to be noticed. I think that quote is saying that if you were meant to be different there’s no way to become normal. Which can be a good thing, and a bad thing.

Ooops... I misspelled Augie. It's actually spelled Auggie.

As I watch this video, I think about how hard it would be to look different or have a face default. It would be hard to make true friends and it would also be hard to ignore the people who stare at you and make fun of you where ever you go.
I wonder what his face looks like, and how he survives being made fun of all the time without exploding. Also, how can he bare not having any friends?
"You can't really blend in when you were born to stand out." means to me if you have a special talent, and you love to do it, it's hard to conceal it from every one, but in this story might mean something like that, but the person is trying to conceal his face, not a talent, but is hard to blend in because of it.

when I watched this clip on the book called "Wonder" i was sorry for the boy (August). I am sorry because he is different then everyone else and he gets starred at by everyone almost everywhere plus the fact that it is hard for him to make friends with the way people may judge him.

The quote "you can't blend in when you are born to stand out" says to me that he is not like everyone else and you can't blend in when you are born like that.it is sorta a happy medium, it is good to be different then everyone else but i under stand that he does not want to be starred at or picked on all the time.

While I was watching this short video clip, I felt (like Katherine) sorry for Auggie, who is the main character. He is constantly being stared at, at by the sounds of it does not have many friends, since he says that because of his face, kids run away from him outside during recess. I also really wanted to read the book. :3

I think the quote "you can't blend in when you were born to stand out" means that you shouldn't try to be normal. Just b yourself, born different than anyone else!
