My family and I celebrate our advent with a traditional advent Calendar and Wreath that we have used since 2002(when i was born).
BONUS: However, i spend my christmas by watching 'It's a Wonderful Life' (Which is a epic movie classic) every christmas eve with my family. -Dinaa(unscramble the letters)
For advent my family has a little wreath that I made in grade three. It has little peices of rolled up construction paper in purple and pink and you put a bit of orange and yellow tissue in to represent each candle being lit. We also have an advent calender each year, usually i get one... this year i got three! One is a chocolate advent calender and the other two are the ones where you open the little doors. They are forest themed and have little birdies all over them(Kove!. That is how I always celebrate advent.
My family and I are celebrating Advent with Advent calenders we usually open up chocolate claenders but this year my mom got us a special present now we have 2 calenders the first one opens up lego and the secong opens up Lindt chocolate MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!
Every year I always get an Advent calendar with chocolates inside of each door for each day of December leading up to Christmas. We also try to watch all of you favorite Christmas shows such as The Grinch(one of my favorites), The Polar Express(another one of my favorites), Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, etc, etc. That is pretty much what all my family does.
Well, this year, me and brother both have advent calender, we both have Kinder Surprise calenders and I have a LEGO town calender and my brother has a LEGO Star Wars calender. Last year, we had this spiral Jesus scene thing that had four candles and you lit one every week, and on the last week, all the candles were lit, and the hot air made the spiral turn, and the Jesus scene slowly rotated (we lost it ): so we can't do it this year). -Mackenzie
Oh yah, we also have this Santa that you turn the handle each day, and he says something, like: "Only 10 days left? We better get shopping! Ho, Ho, Ho!" Yah, sort of weird... -Mackenzie
You all sound like you are spending Advent in similar ways. Although I am not too sure about the moose, but I won't ask. I also enjoy watching A Wonderful Life. It really is a classic. Some of your Advent calendars sound quite interesting and I would really have liked to have seen your spiral Jesus scene Mackenzie. I am trying to picture it as I write this message.
