does the thing we enter thats unigue have to be a real fact?
1. I believe this is a good W.I.T.W for this week because it was the 95th aniversery of Vimy Ridge. Also Vimy Ridge is an important part of Canadian History and played a large Part in WW1
This weeks W.I.T.W is Vimy Ridge. The battle of Vimy Ridge was an important part of Canadian history and World War 1. The battle of Vimy Ridge started April 9th, 1917. The battle ended April 12th, 1917. There is a Vimy Ridge Memorial that includes that names of the Canadian soldiers that died. The Battle was considered a large achievement in Canadian Military. Just yesterdar(Today is 2012,4,10) was the 95th aniversery of The Vimy Ridge Battle.
1.The WITW is good for this week because on the morning of April 9 in 1917, the Canadian Corps attacked the German stronghold position at Vimy Ridge. (It was also the 95th aniversery of Vimy Ridge.) 2.It is called the Vimy Ridge Memorial. 3.It is located in Vimy, Pas-De-Calais, France. 50.379444,2.773611. 4.The significance of the structure is that it rose 61 metres above the Douai plain, therefore giving its army the advantage of seeing clearly across the horizon. This would allow the army to clearly spot attackers and attack them without being slaughtered.
This is a good where in the World because the battle started on April 9th (2 days ago) and ended on April 12th (tomorrow). Vimy Ridge was actually some kind of escarpment.
Two. 50° 22′ 44.4″ N, 2° 46′ 26.4″ E 50.379, 2.774
Three. It is significant because Vimy Ridge is where an important battle in WW1 happened. It is also significant because the Canadians were there three years before the Americans. i.e. "The Yankees think they won the war but we were there three years before" It is a symbol of Canadian military success and sacrafice. Tunnels were used to avoid enemy fire. The tunnels were opened to the public in 1922 and are still intact.
The W.I.T.W for this week is the Vimy Ridge memorial in Paris, France. It's latitude is 48.8666 and the longitude is 2.3110. They put it there to remember all of the people that died during WWI. They also build it as a replacement for those who died that have no known grave. I thought that this is an excellent Where in The World for this week because this week is the 95th anniversary of the battle of Vimy Ridge. ;D
This is a good choice for this weeks W.I.T.W. because it was the 95th aniversery of Vimy Ridge on April 9th. The Vimy Ridge Memorial is located in Vimy, Pas-de-Calais, France. The battle started April 9th, 1917 and ended April 12th the same year. The day the battle started was also Easter Monday.
The Where In The World this week is The Vimy Ridge Memorial in Vimy, Pas- De- Calais, France. The longitude is 50.379583 and latitude is 2.773987. Canadians fortunately won the battle of Vimy Ridge even though the Americans thought they did. Good thing Canadians won because who knows what I would be doing right now if al those people hadn't sacrificed their lives for our freedom. They were brave but war is never the answer! The memorial took the designer, Walter Seymour Allward eleven years to build! The memorial site is also one of two National Historic Sites of Canada located outside of Canada and is maintained by Veterans Affairs Canada. It is also a very good WITW because on Monday it was the 95th anniversary of The Battle of Vimy Ridge.
Our witw is vimy ridge memorial site . it is historically important because of its use a a huge battle ground for the canadian and german fight to the death in WWI . It is also the 95th aniversery this week. The longitude is 50.379483 and latitude is 2.773787. there wher many tunnels from the battle and are still in use by the modern public who lost family or are just visiting for fun.

do we post our entire witw or do we just post the thing we think that no one else will write?
You can post everything for this one.
