Just an interesting fact. I was in the vicinity of that memorial when I was in Ottawa. Not knowing it's importance at the time. November 11 means the time to remember lost souls who died on beaches, lands, jungles and lots more landscapes to hand us our freedom. The ones who come back are never the same, crippled mentally when ever the slightest movement comes out behind them. For instance, say a guy walks into his house and see's his son or daughter come out of hiding and say boo, his memory of the nasty war plays back like a tape recorder and he goes into a state where he is in his memory and he is upset and sad and scared. The moral is that people who go to war are changed and are never the same, so people that play cod or action war games war is NOT pretty. Avoid it.

To me, November 11 means Veterans Day.
(In the U.S. I don't know what it is called up here).
Anyway, to me it means remember those who fought in a war or wars to protect our freedom. It includes those who died (Memorial Day) and those who are still living. It is a day to thank them for their bravery and courage.

I think that Remembrance day is a day of compassion and love when we remember those who fought in the war. We pray for those who died and we should even pray for the people who lived through it because they ricked their lives for their country and may be injured. Another thing is that Remembrance day has a symbol that is used to remember this day, a poppy. One of the reasons that the people fought for us is because if they didn't, than our country would not have freedom like other countries such as Africa or Pakistan. Another reason is because they think of all the people that they can make happy by doing this. Lastly, they put their lives in jeopardy because they have heart, compassion, happiness, discipline, and many more traits like that. I think the trait that makes these people most determined to give our country freedom is "discipline". Discipline is a very strong word, that has various meaning. For example, if you find 100$ on the table and you know it's not yours and you don't take it, that's discipline.

Remembrance Day means you remember those who fought in the war and its also a woy of thanking them for our freedom. Remembrance day also means a lot to me because my grandpa also fought in WWII as a minesweeper and I really love my grandpa. Also if my grandpa died in the war I wouldnt be here because without my grandpa my mom wouldnt be here and without my mom, I wouldnt be here. So thank you grandpa. :) I also think wearing a poppy is very important because it shows respect for those who died and survived. Remembrance isnt really a happy day, but its very important.

For me, I think that it is a time for remembering those who fought in the war, and the Poppy is a great symbol for basically saying "Hey, Just because two countries disagree on somthing, That does NOT mean you can just barge in and start a war."
