I think they chose black paper because it is the most heat absorbing colour, and when iit gets hot it contains the heat. the optimum place for construction paper would be at the bottum of a reflective box that makes light go to the bottum and heat the paper, in turn heating the pizza
The Black Construction paper put where the pizza would be cooked because they know that black attractes heat and that the more heat will make the pizza cook a lot faster than it would without the black construction paper drawing the heat to the solar oven.
