    In this book I think that the setting is a hot summer in New Jersey in the 1950's where almost every one lives in a car.

    I believe this story takes place in New Jersey in the 1950's. In the excerpt, it says that it is 1953 and that they are in New Jersey. It reads " It's 1953, and it's not exactly normal for people in New Jersey to live in cars..."

    In the first scene I imagened green shrubs in the day time around noon, then there was a black car parked beside it. Then I saw her uncle inside it. Then a girl walked out of her house and hopped in the black car with her uncle. In the second scene I saw the bottom of the counter with two skinny pale legs and black high heels with fish net stockings with a little tear in the bottom. Then I see the body of the woman. Very tall, skinny, and then I saw a lump for a stomach.
