Being in a Gifted Class: What Makes It Great!

Engineering & Design Activity Challenge

Your Task:
In your group -
1.  Design a boat that propels forward in water without being pushed or pulled.  (Your boat must travel a minimum of 20 cm.)  Make sure you label your design and include an explanation. (Point form is fine!)
2.  Do some research to see if your idea is plausible.
3.  Stick with your original idea/modify/or completely change your design.
4.  Assemble all materials and test your design.
Note:  Keep track of all your thoughts and ideas as you prepare your final design. I like to see your thinking! (Diagrams/pictures/words...)

Digital/Photo Scavenger Hunt - Tuesday, May 5th 10:00 to 10:40

Don't forget to bring in your camera, iPad, or smartphone for our Photo Scavenger Hunt on Tuesday. The goals for this scavenger hunt are: to be active, think, and have fun!

"I myself truly believe that when used well, photo scavenger hunts can be an engaging way to get students out of their seats while providing opportunities for higher-order thinking."
