100 Must-Reads for Ages 9-14

Open the above link and check out the list of top 100 books for 9-14 year olds.  Are there any books you think are missing from this list?  If you could add a book/books to this top 100 list what book/books would you add?

  1. I would add the books Stormswept by Helen Dunmore and Girl Online by Zoe Sugg (Girl Online contains a bit of swearing).

  3. If I could add 1 book to the list of 100 must-read books, then I would add “Three Times Lucky by: Sheila Turnage. I was actually surprised when I didn’t see that book, because it’s a book of many genres and it’s very interesting.

    See ya later,

  4. I think that some books were definitely missing, but some really good ones were there too. I think that some ones that I would add are: Ungifted by/Korman, Dead End In Norvelt/Gantos, and The Metro Dogs of Mosco series/Delaney. That is just a few that are really good books and that I recommend for everyone in the class.

    That is all.

Thank you, thank you very much.

  5. I really expected to see The Maze Runner on that list, because it is a very popular book that I like, and it was also made into a movie! But thankfully it was on the teens list, but it was number 74! I think the Maze Runner should be number 1, because it is also way better than Harry Potter (My Opinion). Also I expected to see at least one Korman book on the lists, but I found out there were NO Korman books!

Sorry Thats a huge chunk of books, and some of them are more mature than others but a definitely suitable for our age. If I had to pick one author it would be Gordan Korman because he makes a lot of pre teen books.

  9. I think that Ungifted should have been on the list. I liked the book, and Tin Man, but I sure hope that's not what other gifted classrooms are like. I think that was a bit of an exaggeration. Although, I sort-of wish that we got build a robot too. One last thing is that I liked how the chapters were written by different characters.
