  11. On April 4th 1968 King was rushed to the hospital after the assassination. He was declared dead at 7:05PM that evening.

  13. Martin Luther King, did the speech I Have a Dream in 1963 Washington, DC. (The same speech we heard parts of, in the video.) Which ended racism in the US. The speech was a shining moment of the American Civil Rights Movement and will stay in the hearts of the 250,00 people who listened.

  16. Both his father and grandfather had been Baptist preachers. MLK joined the baptist church he studied at the Crozer Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania. That's where he learned about non-violent protests used against the British in India. King thought that those methods would be useful in civil right protests.

    Good effort on not repeating a previous post fact about Martin Luther King Jr.
    He certainly was an inspiring individual. It is so important that we remember what he did for civil rights.
    Today is Lincoln Alexander Day. We will take a look at this great man next.
