You and a partner read the interview with Noah Stryker on his book - The Thing With Feathers.  I have attached a copy of the article and a video on the link below.  The gr. 5 and 6 students are to refer to the article when completing their assignments:
Gr. 5 - Compare the digestive system of a turkey vulture to the digestive system of a human being.  Use the animation of the human digestive system below as well and any background research you feel is necessary.
Gr. 6 - Tie in the life of a specific bird to biodiversity.
